A 1–3mm Steel Slitting Line Machine is an industrial processing line designed to cut wide steel coils into narrower strips with high precision. It’s widely used in the metal fabrication, construction, automotive, and appliance industries for preparing coil materials for further processing.
Working Process
1.Uncoiling
The steel coil (1–3mm thick) is loaded onto the hydraulic decoiler.
The coil is unwound smoothly and fed into the line.
2.Leveling & Feeding
The sheet passes through a straightening unit to remove coil set and ensure flatness.
3.Slitting
The slitting head, equipped with circular knives, cuts the coil into multiple narrow strips based on required widths.
Blade spacing is adjustable depending on the coil thickness and slit width.
4.Tensioning & Looping
Loop pits or tensioners maintain even tension, ensuring smooth feeding and protecting edges.
5.Recoiling
The slit strips are rewound into smaller coils by the recoiler.
These narrow coils are ready for delivery or next-stage production (such as roll forming, stamping, or tube making).
Thickness range: 1–3mm
Material type: Carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, or aluminum
Coil width: Typically 500–1600mm
Slitting speed: 60–120 m/min (depending on model)
Blade material: High-speed steel (H13 or SKD11) for long life and precision
High precision slitting with smooth, burr-free edges.
Customizable width adjustment for different coil sizes.
Stable tension control ensures consistent quality.
Heavy-duty structure suitable for thicker steel (1–3mm).
Automation options (PLC control, servo feeding) for improved efficiency and safety.
Roll forming production lines
Tube and pipe mills
Metal furniture and shelving
Automotive body and structural parts
Electrical cabinet manufacturing
