What is An EPS Sandwich Panel Machine (Continuous) ?

An EPS Sandwich Panel Machine (Continuous) is an automated production line designed to continuously manufacture insulated sandwich panels, featuring expanded polystyrene (EPS) as the core material and metal sheets as the outer layers. These panels are widely used for wall panels, roof panels, and cold-storage insulation.

EPS is a white, lightweight material known for its excellent waterproofing, thermal insulation, soundproofing, and cushioning properties. Our expanded polystyrene sandwich panel production equipment leverages EPS as the insulating core, offering an automated solution that enables continuous, high-efficiency production of sandwich panels in a wide variety of refined and diverse shapes.


Main Parts of Production Process

1.Un-Coilers & Entry parts 

Un-coiler is a device that inputs steel coil to the upper and lower parts of sandwich panel to feed it stably. The mandrel type operated automatically by a hydraulic and it’s convenient to control and sophisticated.

2.Roll forming unit

The guide device at the front end of the forming machine adjusts the steel plate to align with the production line benchmark; the rollers of the forming machine press the plate into shape ( corrugated board , partition board ), and send the template to the interface raceway.

The unit consists of an upper roll forming machine, a lower roll forming machine and  conveyor platform on which the upper molding machine is placed, and upper and lower interface raceways connecting the roll forming  machine.

3. EPS system

The entire EPS system consists of side slotting and trimming devices , conveyor rollers and other equipment.Function :Realizes EPS conveying, grooving and edge cutting , upper and lower glue spraying , and simultaneously feeds EPS boards to the main production line.

  • Width adjustment:  meet partition board width 1000/1200 mm

  • Cutting speed:  2~10m/min

  • Grooving meets plate thickness:  25-300mm

  • Lower plate height (roller table):  about 1200 mm

  • Working height:  about 1600 mm

4. Upper and lower glue spraying system and accessories

The upper and lower glue spraying systems adopt two-component glue spraying devices of well-known domestic brands. The two glue spraying devices spray glue on the surface of the upper and lower steel plates respectively, so that the plates and EPS are completely bonded.

5. Laminating unit

It is a device that makes the shape of sandwich panel applying constant pressure and heat to the upper and lower steel plates where glue is applied. A rubber roller system laminating unit has low power consumption and inexpensive compared to the double belt conveyor system and the flatness of the product remains good.

6.Cutting system

The front roller table of the band saw machine is composed of adjustable anchor screws, channel steel assembly frame, rubber rollers, etc. Adjust the anchor screws to make the upper surface of the roller consistent with the height of the double-belt machine workbench, and each roller is parallel to the double-belt machine track.

7.Auto stacking unit

The stacker adopt the vacuum generator which is reliable and safe and the osculum can still absorb the workpiece in short time when there’s sudden stop of electricity and air so that  easy for renewing of electricity or air or for manual treatment.

The speed of conveyor device of stacker can be adjusted through frequency converter so that make it run smoothly . And when it reaches set position it will immediately brake, position precisely thereby stacking neatly.

8. Wrapping Packing

A device that packs panels loaded at Auto Stacking Unit with plastic wrap on 4 sides or 6 sides and discharges them. Applying pallet systems to insert the EPS block automatically and it makes handy for cargo transportation and storage the panels.
